Remembrance of Allah
All praise is for Allah. We praise him, we seek his aid, and we ask for his forgiveness. I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, who has no partner, and who said:
O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to him.(59:18)
Oh faithful, zikr (remembrance of Allah ) is as important as the food. It is the medicine for an illness; and it is the best duty for Al‐Mutakeen (pious). Zikr is a great opened gate between the slave and his Lord. Allah said:
O you who believe, Remember Allah with much remembrance and glorify His praises morning and afternoon. (33:42)
Ibn Abbas may Allah bless him explained this verse as it means that one have to remember Allah in every time whither it is at day time or at night, and whither on the sea or on land, regardless of being alone or in public.
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Allah has some angles who room about the streets in search for people mentioning Allah's Names. When they find such a gathering, they call one another saying: Come to the object of your pursuit. The prophet (peace be upon him) added: The angles surround them with their wings up to the lowest heaven (sky of the world). He further added: (when the people in the gathering disperse, the angles ascend to the heaven). Their Lord, Who knows best about the people, asks them: what do my slaves say? The angles reply: they were glorifying you, exalting you, praising you and dignifying you. And in this Hadeeth it's mentioned that: so their companion will not be reduced to misery. Allah said:
Verily, those who are Al‐Muttaqen when an evil thought comes to tem from shaitan they remember Allah and then they see a right. (7:201)
Zikr has many benefits and the good Muslim is the one who keeps zikr. We pray for Allah to help us in our zikr and in our worship. We have to do our best to obey Allah and those whom we have to obey.
